Eight venomous snakelets – locally known as Kali Pans – has been rescued from a house in Narayanganj's Sonargaon upazila on early Friday.
Md Aziz Mia, son of the house owner Omar Ali Munshi, told The Business Standard that his wife had spotted a venomous snakelet on the floor on Thursday and they killed it.
Later, they called two snake charmers of Tarab upazila to check whether any other snakes were there.
The snake charmers used their technique to find the snakes. Digging the floor, they found eight snakelets in a hole.
Later, the snake charmers took the snakelets away.
"We found eight venomous snakelets and 300 shells of snake egg in the hole. But the mother snake could not be tracked," Snake charmers Mostafa and Matin said.
