Army takes injured tribal boy by helicopter to Chattogram for better treatment
Zatin Tripura, 33, was injured seriously after falling from a hill during Jhum cultivation
Bangladesh Army, in collaboration with Border Guard Bangladesh, sent a tribal youth to Chattogram for better treatment through a helicopter on Sunday.
The injured youth identified as Zatin Tripura, 33, was injured seriously after falling from a hill during Jhum cultivation at Japui Para of Sajek union in Rangamati on Wednesday (April 29).
Initially, Zatin Tripura was brought to Japui Para BGB camp for first aid. Since the injury was serious, the BGB camp authority informed the matter to Major General S M Matiur Rahman, GOC of 24 Infantry Division.
As per the directives from S M Matiur Rahman, necessary steps were taken. A helicopter from the BAF Base Zahur carried Zatin Tripura to Chattogram cantonment. And later, he was shifted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for improved medical treatment.
It is mentionable that the members of armed forces, under the coordination of Bangladesh Army, have supported the underprivileged people living in remote hilly regions during disasters.
