Asia Regional Youth Festival to begin from September 11
The three-day long Asia Regional Youth Festival-19 is set to kick off on September 11 in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, in an attempt to empower Asian youth to hold their governments accountable to international human right commitments.
Asian Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW), a regional NGO, will organise the festival engaging youth advocates and activists from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Malaysia and Myanmar.
The festival will be launched by Malaysian Deputy Minister of Women Hannah Yeoh Tseou Suan, Deputy Minister of Education Teo Nie Ching, and ARROW's Executive Director Sivananthi Thanenthiran.
