The academy claims this automated ventilator can simultaneously provide oxygen to eight patients
The Bangladesh Marine Academy has built a pneumatically controlled ventilator to help people suffering from breathing problems.
The academy claims this automated ventilator can provide oxygen to eight patients simultaneously, reports Prothom Alo.
Many patients will be benefitted if this ventilator can be used, after examination by the concerned department, the academy claimed.
Marine Academy Chief Commandant Naval Engineer Sajid Hossain and Research Officer Muhammad Khaled Salauddin made the ventilator.
The newly made ventilator does not have all the facilities like a conventional ventilator. However, the makers believe that it will do a lot to help patients suffering from shortness of breath.
Khaled Salauddin told Prothom Alo, "This ventilator is the first of its kind in the country, made using pneumatically controlled technology."
