BCL duo held for vandalizing Bangabandhu’s portrait
Two factions of BCL activists locked into a clash over supremacy.
Police arrested two activists of Bangladesh Chatra League (BCL) in a case filed over vandalizing Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s portraits in Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR).
The arrested are — former member of BCL central committee Faisal Azam Fine and Firoz. Rangpur’s Tajhat police OC Sheikh Rokonuzzaman said the duo was arrested on Saturday noon.

Subsequently on August 23, BRUR chapter BCL president Tushar Kibria filed a case accusing Faisal Azam Fine. OC Sheikh Rokonuzzaman said hot pursuits were on to arrest other accused.
