HC grants bail to two in connection with Faridpur lynching case

The High Court has granted a six-month bail to two Faridpur locals in connection with a lynching case where three people died in 2015.
The accused are Sajjad Hossain alias Barkat, suspended general secretary of Awami League in Faridpur, and Imtiaz Hasan Rubel, suspended president of Faridpur Press Club.
A bench of Justices Mohammad Rezaul Haque and Md Atoar Rahman granted the order on Sunday.
Deputy Attorney General Saifuddin Khaled confirmed the court order to reporters.
He said three people were killed in a mob lynching in Faridpur's Badarpur on the night of 24 June, 2015.
The two accused were arrested on 7 June last year and were 'Shown Arrest' in the case. The High Court today issued a six-month bail to them in the case.
