Seven get life terms over 2010 Narayanganj murder
The convicts hacked a local sand trader Arafat, 22, to death with sharp blades at Wanda Colony of Siddhirganj on February 26, 2010 over previous enmity.
A court on Wednesday sentenced seven people for life term imprisonment in a case filed for killing a sand trader in Wanda Colony of Siddhirganj upazila in 2010.
The convicts were Sajib, 25, Delwar Hossain Delu, 20, Jahidul Islam Joy, 22, Shamim, 24, Rafiq, 59, Yusuf, 20 and Rubel alias Yasin, 24.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Court Judge Sheikh Razia Sultana passed the order in the presence of three of the convicts in the court. Others remain absconding.

Additional Public Prosecutor Jasmil Ahmed said the convicts hacked a local sand trader Arafat, 22, son of Anowar Hossain to death with sharp blades at Wanda Colony of Siddhirganj on February 26, 2010 over previous enmity.
Later, victim’s father filed a case with Siddhirganj Police Station in this regard.
