2 Bangladeshis shot dead in South Africa

Two Bangladeshis were shot dead in Mareetsane in Mafeking of South Africa's North Western province on Tuesday.
The deceased are Abdur Rahman, 30, of Amjankhor in Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon and Emon Ahmed, 32, of Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj district.
Rubel Hossain, 28, of Rupganj is undergoing treatment in critical condition after being shot in the same incident.
The incident took place at around 9pm (Local time) when a group of African youths entered the shop of the deceased and shot at them haphazardly.
Both the victims were dead on the spot. The locals later rushed to the spot and helped injured Rubel to take to the hospital.
Sources said that there had been a long dispute related to business between the two groups.
Even after several rounds of court hearings, it was not possible to reach a solution with them. As a result of the dispute and the threats, one group of Bangladeshis have been accused of hiring mercenaries and orchestrating the attack.
