Doctor finds no evidence of rape on Rumpa’s body
The doctor who performed the autopsy on Stamford University student Rubaiyat Sharmin Rumpa's body claimed to have not found any evidence of rape on her body.
"In primary examination, no evidence of rape was found on her body. The autopsy report will be submitted to police soon," Dr Sohel Mahmud, head of the Dhaka Medical College Forensic Department, told The Business Standard today.
"However, we found injury marks on her body as she fell down from the rooftop," he added.
Twenty-one-year old Rumpa, a second-year student at the English department of Stamford University Bangladesh, was found dead in the Siddheshwari area of the capital on December 4 night.
