Speakers at a seminar on "Bangabandhu's ideology and human development" said combination of people's realisation of life and equitable distribution of resources was the ideology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Bangabandhu had full confidence in the inner strength of people, they said.
Professor Dr Abul Barakat, president of Bangladesh Economic Association (BEA), inaugurated the programme as the chief guest at Khulna Government Women's College organised by BEA on Saturday.
Mentioning that Bangladesh has made progress in terms of several economic and social indicators, the speakers said to keep up the development spree of the country the ideology of Bangabandhu has to be followed.
Four persons were honoured at the seminar for their notable contributions to their respective fields. Bagerhat Zila Parishad Chairman Sheikh Kamruzzaman Tuku for his contribution to the Liberation War, Santosh Kumar Mazumder for his conribution to the Tebhaga Movement, Advocate Md Enayet Ali for his contribution to the Language Movement and Professor Hasan Azizul Haque in literature were accorded reception.
