The event will cater to individuals interested in attending the university’s summer semester classes
Amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, when education has ground to a halt, Chittagong Independent University (CIU) has announced it will host an event called Digital Open Day – to boost campus life in the hearts of the youth.
The event will be held, online, from June 7 to June 11, for potential 2020 summer semester students.
Digital Open Day will run from 10 am to 4 pm, read a press release of CIU.
Over the week, students could benefit from: spot admission, semester fee waivers, scholarships, career chats, or educational activities with numerous reputed foreign universities.
Authorities said there has been a lot of talk on social media over the past few days about CIU's Digital Open Day.

"We are conducting educational activities in accordance with the rules of the University Grants Commission," said CIU Vice Chancellor Mahfuzul Hoque Chowdhury.
He mentioned that this exceptional event has been organised online in order not to delay the educational life of students during the pandemic.
CIU currently has multiple subjects under the Business School, School of Science and Engineering, School of Liberal Arts, plus Social Sciences and School of Law programs.
