Hamdard Public College completes first decade in country’s education sector
The college started its journey on June 13, 2010
The Hamdard Public College has completed ten successful years in the country's education sector having provided quality students for the major destinations of higher studies in the country over the years, says a press release.
Starting their journey on June 13, 2010, in the capital's Panthapath area, the college authority arranged the founding anniversary celebration programme at the Rupayan Trade Centre, Bangla Motor in the capital.
The college was established by Dr Hakim Md Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan, managing director and chief mutawalli of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh. The institution aims to provide modern science-based pragmatic education to build ideologically tolerant, patriotic and prodigious citizens full of integrity.
Just into the fourth year of its founding, the college clinched the 19th position in higher secondary exam results among all the colleges under the Dhaka education board. It has continued its successful streak with one hundred percent pass rate and a significant number of GPA-5 achievers every year.
During the founding anniversary celebration, Dr Hakim Md Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan, said, Hamdard Public College will develop capable citizens to take up the 21st century challenges. He hoped that the college would eventually become one of the top colleges of the country.
Drawing attention to the ongoing Covid-19 miseries, the chief mutawalli requested all concerned to follow the required health guidelines.
Professor Md Sadequr Rahman Mazumder, principal of Hamdard Public College and other teachers of the college, as well as, officials and staff workers greeted the college founder Dr Hakim Md Yousuf with floral wreaths at the founding anniversary celebration ceremony.
