Foodpanda expands delivery services nationwide
Foodpanda has over 4 million users across the country
Online food and grocery delivery platform 'Foodpanda' has expanded its operations to 64 districts across the country.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, with over 4 million user-base, Foodpanda has around 35,000 restaurant and shop partners. They have also helped grow Bangladesh's gig economy and provided 55,0000 people with income-earning opportunities by signing up as delivery partners for the platform.
December 2020 marks the food-tech company's 7th year of operations in the country, the press release added.
Foodpanda Bangladesh began its journey in December 2013 with limited operations in Dhaka only. In just seven years, it has gone from delivering only food within the capital to food, groceries, medicine, and other essential items to users nationwide.
Since its inception, foodpanda has played a key role in digitizing consumer habits and in the evolution of Bangladesh's restaurant industry.
Ambareen Reza, CEO of foodpanda Bangladesh, said, "As we expand our services nationwide, foodpanda is dedicated to keep improving operational excellence and innovations so that we can continue to provide users with an excellent delivery experience every single time."
"We will continue working closely with our restaurant, shop and rider partners to ensure an ecosystem that benefits the entire digital ecosystem in Bangladesh," she added.
