The government has brought back 408 Bangladeshis, including 317 Umrah pilgrims, from Saudi Arabia on a special flight at 4:15pm Tuesday.
State Minister for Foreign Affair Shahriar Alam confirmed the matter on a status on his Facebook account.
Dr Shahriar Sajjad, airport health officer, said they will be sent to their homes after initial health check up. All will be advised to stay in home quarantine if found coronavirus free.
Earlier on March 14, the government of Saudi Arabia suspended all international flights for two weeks, starting from March 15, to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country.
Saudi Arabia reported 15 new coronavirus cases, raising the total number of cases in the country to 133, the ministry of health said on Monday.
About 182,405 people around the world have been infected with the deadly virus and 7,154 deaths were reportedly globally till date.
