Govt fixes entry fee for Ratargul forest, tourists have to pay for filming
Daily filming fee inside the forest has been set at Tk10,000 per camera.
From now visitors must pay fee for entering the Ratargul Special Biodiversity Conservation Area, popularly known as Ratargul forest, under Sylhet Forest Department.
The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change has already issued a notification in this regard, Somoy TV reports.
The tourists also have to pay for filming video and boat trips in Ratargul.
It said the entry fee for adults has been fixed Tk50, while the fee for minors (under 12 years) and students with identity cards Tk25.
Besides, the entry fee for foreigners has been fixed at Tk500.
Daily filming fee inside the forest has been set at Tk10,000 per camera.
Local visitors will have to pay Tk100 for each boat trip, while foreigners will have to pay Tk1,000.
Besides, the parking fee for each bus or truck has been fixed at Tk200 while for pickup, jeep, car, microbus it is Tk100. The parking fee for CNG-run three-wheelers and motorcycles is Tk 25.
The ministry fixed the fees following the approval of the Ministry of Finance.
