The government has transferred 215 police officials of the rank of superintendent in the latest reshuffle of the police department.

The home ministry issued a circular, signed by Dhananjay Kumar Das, the ministry's deputy secretary, in this regard on Thursday.

The transfer orders will be effective immediately, the circular says.
