‘48 family members, relatives of a corona patient quarantined’
The condition of the three coronavirus infected Bangladeshis is stable now, says IEDCR
Some 48 family members and relatives of a coronavirus infected expatriate Bangladeshi have been kept in home quarantine as they came into contact with the patient, said Health Minister Zahid Malik.
"Apart from them, those who have already come to Bangladesh recently have been kept in home quarantine under coordination of local government health officials across the country," the minister told the media at his ministry today after an inter-ministerial meeting over coronavirus situation.
The minister also requested the expatriate Bangladeshis not to return to the country now as the novel coronavirus has already spread to many countries.
Earlier in a briefing today, the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) said no new coronavirus infected patient was identified in the country after the three, including two Italy-returnees who were tested positive on Sunday.
The condition of the three coronavirus infected Bangladeshis is stable now and those came into their contacts are also in good health, IEDCR said.
