DGHS confirms 4 more deaths from dengue

Dengue has claimed four more lives, thereby increasing the death toll to 18 this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Saturday.

However, unofficial sources say that more than 50 people have died of dengue this year.
According to the DGHS control room, a total of 22,919 people got infected by dengue till August 3. Of them, 6,858 people are still undergoing treatment at various hospitals.
Meanwhile, some 1,649 new patients were hospitalised across the country in the last 24 hours.
