Two passengers diagnosed with high fever at Dhaka airport
They were sent to Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital
Two passengers have been taken to Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital after they were diagnosed with high fever at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka today.
Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul Ahsan, "The passengers, who arrived here from Spain and Italy on Monday morning, were diagnosed with high body temperature at the thermal scanner of the airport. Later they were sent to hospital."
Earlier on Sunday, IEDCR announced that three Bangladeshis, including two Italy-returnees, were tested positive with the novel coronavirus.
The coronavirus, believed to have originated late last year in a seafood market in the central Chinese city of Wuhan that was illegally selling wildlife, has spread to Chinese cities including Beijing and Shanghai, as well as at least 102 countries across the globe.
