Uttara’s Al-Ashraf hospital sealed off
Officials of the Directorate General of Health Services and police conducted a drive at the hospital
The Al Ashraf General Hospital in the capitals' Uttara area has been sealed off as the private healthcare facility does not have any licence or authorisation to operate.
Uttara Division Deputy Commissioner Nabid Kamal Shoibal confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
Officials of the Directorate General of Health Services and police conducted a drive at the hospital on Monday.
During the drive, the health authorities learned from government document online that the hospital was being operated without any licence.
Nabid Kamal said the hospital authorities took away all patients admitted there and all the staff of the facility escaped once they realised a drive was about to take place.
