Khaleda’s lawyers seek bail, not parole
Advocate Zaynul Abedin, Khaleda Zia’s lawyer was addressing the press briefing
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's lawyers demanded her rightful bail from court instead of the government's merciful parole in a press briefing at the Bar building of the Supreme Court on Thursday.
Advocate Zaynul Abedin, Khaleda Zia's lawyer was addressing the press briefing.
"Khaleda Zia is innocent in the cases for which she has been imprisoned. She has been confined to keep her away from the general people. Her health is deteriorating day by day," said Zaynul.
Whenever her lawyers go to court to apply for her bail, the government strongly objects to it, Zaynul remarked further.
"We will ask the chief law officer of the country not to object in the future. We will go to court again for Khaleda's bail very soon."
Advocate Rafiqul Haque Talukder Raja, Golam Rahman Bhuiyan , Kamrul Islam Sajal, Ehsanur Rahman, and A R Raihan, among others, were present at the press briefing.
