At least 7 Bangladeshis dead in Saudi bus crash
Shortly after the accident, the bus caught fire killing at least 35 people.
At least seven Bangladeshi expatriates were killed after a bus collided with another vehicle near Medina in Saudi Arabia.
The accident took place 170 km from Medina when a privately charted bus carrying pilgrims travelling to Mecca collided with a cargo vehicle, a spokesman for Medina police said.
Shortly after the accident, the bus caught fire killing at least 35 people, reported Dawn.
Officials at the Bangladesh embassy in Saudi Arabia said it was difficult for them to identify the Bangladeshi nationals killed in the accident without a DNA tests as the bodies were charred from the fire.
Later, Bangladesh embassy in Saudi Arabia confirmed the deaths of the 7 Bangladeshi nationals.
The injured have been transferred to Al-Hamna Hospital and authorities have launched an investigation, Saudi Press Agency reported.
