Man stabbed to death in Badda
The deceased is identified as Nasiruddin, youngest son of Bhola’s Noor Islam
A man was stabbed to death possibly over a drugs dispute at Anandanagar in Merul-Badda in the capital on Saturday.
Police brought the initially unidentified man aged around 35 with knife injuries on the right side of his chest to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead at 10:40 pm.
He has since been identified as Nasiruddin, youngest son of Bhola’s Noor Islam.
The incident is believed to have occurred around 8pm, in front of the local shop of Iman Ali, where Nasiruddin got embroiled in an argument with Bhagina Arif and 3-4 others. Police have picked up Arif in this connection.
Though the motive remains unclear, the police believe it may be drugs-related.
ASI Abdul Khan of DMCH police camp confirmed the incident saying that the body has been kept in the morgue for autopsy.
