Md Helal Uddin Nizami appointed at global council of CGIA
Professor Md Helal Uddin Nizami, former commissioner of the Bangladesh Securities & Exchange Commission (BSEC), has been appointed to the global council of Chartered Global Investment Analyst (CGIA).
"He will also chair the Institute's Network Relations Council," a statement issued by the CGIA Institute said.
Md Helal Uddin Nizami is currently working as a professor in the Department of Accounting at the University of Chittagong, which is the second largest and leading public university in Bangladesh. He was a fellow member of the CGIA Institute since 2019.
"I am really happy to work with CGIA and I am very proud to be a part of this institute. I believe this commitment will surely encourage me to contribute, distribute and coordinate the focus and objectives of the organisation to the maximum," Nizami said.
Professor Nizami was the commissioner of BSEC for the last 9 years. He has been a member of the advisory group of the Asia Pacific Economic Corporation-Financial Regulators Training Initiative (APEC-FRTI) for the past 5 years. He has also served as a member of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) for the past three years.
