The government has asked Muslim devotees to offer the Eid-ul-Adha prayers at nearby mosques, maintaining proper health guidelines.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs, in a press release on Sunday, urged the devotees not to perform the Eid prayers at Eidgah or open grounds, considering the novel coronavirus situation.
Earlier on the day, the ministry held a virtual inter-ministerial meeting on the celebration of upcoming Eid-ul-Adha amid the pandemic. Secretary of the ministry Md Nurul Islam presided over the meeting.
The main congregation of Eid-ul-Adha will also be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital.
