Morshed Khan quits BNP
The former minister mentioned "personal reason" for resigning in the resignation letter
BNP vice chairman and former foreign minister M Morshed Khan resigned from Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) yesterday.
The resignation letter, in which the former minister mentioned "personal reason" for resigning, was accepted by senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi at the party's Nayapaltan headquarters.
Party sources, however, said the veteran BNP leader resigned from the party out of anger and dissatisfaction.
BNP sources informed M Morshed Khan was upset over the nomination of the Chittagong-1 (Boalkhali-Chandgaon) seat and the formation of a party committee there.
