Road accident kills 2 in Cox’s Bazar
The deceased were identified as Shafiul Alam, 55, and Mahabub Morshed Amin, 56
Two people were killed and another injured in a road accident at Ramu in Cox's Bazar today morning.
The accident took place at around 6 am when a fish-laden mini-truck lost control and hit them in the Jowarianala area of the Cox's Bazar-Chattogram highway.
The deceased were identified as Shafiul Alam, 55, and Mahabub Morshed Amin, 56.
Borhan Uddin, 55, was seriously injured in the accident. He was admitted to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital in a critical condition.
Jowarianala Union Parishad chairman Kamal Shamsuddin Ahmed Prince confirmed the deaths of the two men, saying the driver left the truck at the scene after the accident.
Ramu Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abul Khair said, "A police team was sent to the scene. Necessary legal action will be taken in this regard."
