US Ambassador Earl R Miller underscored the continued commitment of the US government to working in partnership with Bangladesh to eliminate Trafficking-in-Persons
The Ambassador made the remark after he and Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen visited children's home "Shishuder Jonno Amra" on Monday to provide donations to the children, reads the press release.
"Children of sex workers are vulnerable to human trafficking. There is no crime more heinous than the exploitation of a child," he said.
The Ambassador discussed about human trafficking with the President and Founder of the children's home Hazera Begum.
Hazera, a former sex worker, discussed her vision of preventing other street children from being forced into commercial sex work by providing a shelter home for them and a path out of poverty.
Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen said Bangladesh is pledge-bound to ensure that no one is left behind while continuing its inclusive development endeavours.
