BSMMU celebrates 50th victory day
The VC also inaugurated the blood donation program
The Victory Day 2020 has been celebrated at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) through various programmes including voluntary blood donation and wreath laying programme.
The BSMMU authorities celebrated the day with a pledge to continue the trend of ongoing development and progress of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, ignoring all conspiracies.
The program included hoisting the national flag on the university campus on Wednesday morning, laying a wreath at the museum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu at 10am and free blood group diagnosis at the initiative of the Department of Transfusion Medicine.
Screening test for syphilis and organizing a voluntary blood donation program and later paying homage by laying a wreath at the portrait of the Father of the Nation at Dhanmondi No. 32.
Distinguished Deans of the University, heads of departments, heads of offices, teachers, students, physicians, officers, nurses, medical technologists and staff led by university VC professor Dr Kanak Kanti Barua paid their respects by laying wreaths at 10am at the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu.
The VC also inaugurated the blood donation program.
While speaking as chief guest, he pledged to continue the trend of ongoing development and progress of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
