He shared his experiences since it was his last working day at DMP Media Centre
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia at a view exchange programme with the journalists on Thursday talked about his challenges.
He shared his experiences since it was his last working day at DMP Media Centre.
He said, “My biggest challenge was that I could not establish the spirit in 35,000 DMP staffs that they are the staff of the republic.”
“The police force is getting their salary from the public revenues, so they should not torture and harass the mass people,” he added.
He also said that we served his duty as a commissioner for 1680 days.
By this period, he has taken many important steps to ensure the city dwellers of security.
“But I have not been succeeded in two cases. First, we failed to meet the expectations of the people when they came to the police stations. Second, we tried to reduce the traffic jam, but we could not control it.”
Asaduzzaman accuses the lack of coordination between the traffic police, and the organizations that are in charge of road and drainage system maintenance for the poor traffic management.
