Abu Bakar Siddique elected president of ICMAB
Abu Bakar Siddique FCMA has been elected president of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) for the term 2021.
Besides, Md Mamunur Rashid FCMA and Md Munirul Islam FCMA have become vice-presidents while Kazi Muhammad Ziauddin FCMA has been elected as secretary of the institute.
AKM Kamruzzaman FCMA has been elected as the treasurer of ICMAB, says a press release.
Prior to his new role, Siddique served as the vice-president of the institute last year.
Siddique, a veteran fellow member of ICMBA, has been serving as executive vice president and CFO of Kohinoor Chemical Company Ltd and Group Reedisha respectively.
He is an independent director and chairman of Audit Committee of Renwick Jajneswar and Co (BD) Ltd.
He was also chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of ICMAB.
He was born in Sonapur of Sonagazi upazila in Feni.
On the other hand, Md Mamunur Rashid is currently working as the deputy managing director at X-Index Companies.
He is an independent director of West Zone Power Distribution Co Ltd
Currently, he is serving as vice president of Bangladesh Ceramics Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BCMEA) and general body member of The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).
Md Munirul Islam is currently working as head of Human Resources at Aristopharma Limited.
He served the institute as secretary for 2020 and had been the council member for several terms. He was also chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of ICMAB.
He is the founding president of Bangladesh Pharma HR Society (BPHRS) and director of Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organization (FBHRO).
Kazi Muhammad Ziauddin is currently working as additional commissioner of Customs and VAT, National Board of Revenue (NBR).
He was also chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of ICMAB.
AKM Kamruzzaman has been serving as senior executive vice president and head of operations of LankaBangla Finance Limited.
He was also chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of ICMAB.
