Saif Powertec’s managing director handed over medical equipment – including 25 oxygen cylinders – to the CMP commissioner on Friday
Saif Powertec, a battery manufacturing company, donated medical equipment to the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) on Friday to fight the novel coronavirus.
Saif Powertec Managing Director Tarafder Md Ruhul Amin handed over the medical equipment – including 25 oxygen cylinders – to the CMP Commissioner Md Mahabubor Rahman.

(Administration and Human Resource) Md Rezaul Karim and Deputy Managing Director Saiful Alam Babu – among others – were present at the ceremony.
Previously, on Sunday the company's Executive Director Major (rtd) Faruk Ahmed Khan handed over medical equipment to State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Hasan Russell.
Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, Saif Powertec has been providing medical equipment to different organisations to keep the economy moving.
Saif Powertec Managing Director Tarafder Md Ruhul Amin said, "We have to keep the wheel of economy running by fighting the novel coronavirus."
"We are working to ensure the safety of the industry, commerce and the people," he added.
Hasan Reja, chief financial officer of Saif Powertec, said the company helped ensure the food and safety of the workers at the Chattogram port to keep it open during the general holidays.
