Narayanganj confirms total 1,026 Covid-19 infections, 48 deaths
47 people have returned home after recovering
Twenty-five people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Narayanganj in the last 24 hours from Saturday at 8 am to Sunday at 8 am. With this, the number of positive cases has reached 1,026 in the district.
At the same time, two more people have died from coronavirus infection, taking the death toll to 48.
Besides, the total number of recovered cases is 47.
Narayanganj District Civil Surgeon Office released the update on its website on Sunday morning.
Of the total infected people, 617 were from the city corporation area, 299 from Sadar upazila, 32 from Sonergaon upazila, 28 from Araihazar upazila, 22 from Bandar upazila and 13 from Rupganj upazila, according to the civil surgeon office.
Among the death cases, 34 were from the city corporation area, 10 from Sadar upazila, two from Sonergaon and one each from Bandar and Rupganj.
Some 164 samples have been collected in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 3,332 samples have so far been collected for coronavirus test.
The district confirmed its first coronavirus infection on March 8 and the first death on March 30.
