Both of the women who are working at a garment factory in Narayanganj returned home last week
Two readymade garment (RMG) workers who returned home in Khulna's Dacope upazila from Narayanganj have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Khulna Medical College vice-principal Dr Mehedy Newaj on Sunday said, "Two female workers have tested positive for novel coronavirus at our Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) lab among 164 samples on Saturday.''
Dacope Upazila health officer Dr Mozzamel Haque said both of the women who worked at a garment factory in Narayanganj returned home last week. From that time, they were in quarantine at their respective home at Khatail village in Pankhali union parishad of the upazila.
The houses of the infected workers and some of their neighbours were put under lockdown to prevent transmission of the virus, said the upazila health officer.
Their samples were collected last Wednesday, added Dr Mozzamel Haque.
