All preparations have been completed to inaugurate a 40-bed field hospital in Chattogram tomorrow to fight against the Coronavirus.
The hospital was established at Chhalimpur village under Sitakunda upazila of the district in cooperation with Navana Group.
Talking to BSS Dr Vidyut Barua, who took initiative to set up the hospital, said they have already set up a 50-bed field hospital to provide services to the victims of coronavirus in cooperation with Navana group.
All necessary preparations, including setting up equipment and appointing manpower, have already been completed, he said, adding "We will be able to admit the Corona patients here from tomorrow."
Moreover, the local administration has given sufficient support to establish the hospital, he added.
"A 10-member physician's team will work to treat corona patients and sufficient nurses, medical assistants and volunteers will assist them," he added.
All the 40 beds have been prepared with ventilator facilities primarily, he said.
Dr Vidyut said that the ambulance facilities will also be available to carry patients.
"The hospital has been set up on a 6,500-square-foot of a two-storied building owned by Navana Group. Various individuals and organisations provided financial support to establish the hospital," Dr Vidyut added.
