Coronavirus patient admitted to Chattogram General Hospital after fleeing Dhaka
Police found the patient on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Feni
A 50-year-old coronavirus patient, who had fled the capital's United Hospital, was admitted to Chattogram General Hospital on Tuesday.
"The patient went to the United Hospital for taking treatment and later his sample was collected for Covid-19 test for having coronavirus symptoms. He left the hospital as the test result came positive," said Dr Jamal Mostofa, residential doctor of Chattogram General Hospital and focal person of coronavirus treatment there.
"He was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday around 4pm and taken to the isolation centre. He is also suffering from diabetes, coronary problem and thyroid disorder," added Dr Jamal.
Police found the patient on Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Feni.
Ataur Rahman Khan, officer-in-charge of Chandgaon Police Station in Chattogram city, said, "Khilgaon Police Station contacted us and informed us about that person. Later, we found him in Feni."
The patient was a resident of the port city under Chandgaon Police Station, added the OC.
