The densely populated areas are also witnessing in fewer cases. So we can say that the coronavirus infection in the country is not at its peak anymore
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Professor Dr Nasima Sultana said the number of Covid-19 infection cases in the country is now on the decline.
As the infection rate has declined people are showing less interest in testing, said Dr Nasima in an online press conference on Monday.
The densely populated areas are also witnessing in fewer cases. So we can say that the coronavirus infection in the country is not at its peak now. It is now declining, she said, referring to the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control And Research (IEDCR) data.
When asked about the current situation of coronavirus infection in the country, Nasima Sultana told the journalists that sample collection is now available in all upazilas and districts.
We are requesting that if anyone has any symptoms of Covid-19, they should come for testing.
Now there is a test fee fixed by the government that is why many people may not be testing. We have nothing to do with the matter as it is determined by the ministry, she added.
