Manikganj village freed from lockdown
But the family members will have to stay in home quarantine
The local administration on Tuesday lifted lockdown imposed on Baraichhara village of Harirampur upazila after a women who died while suffering from fever and cough tested negative for coronavirus.
Harirampur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sabina Yasmin told UNB that the lockdown was withdrawn on Tuesday.
But the family members will have to stay in home quarantine, she added.
Civil Surgeon Dr Anwarul Amin Akhand said the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) in Dhaka confirmed that the deceased was not infected with coronavirus.
Earlier on Sunday, Suchitra Sarkar, 26, wife of Nitai Sarkar in Baraichhara village, died with fever, cough and breathing complication.
Later the local administration put the whole village under lockdown.
