Youth dies in coronavirus isolation unit in Chattogram
Mofiz was brought to Chittagong General Hospital as he had been suffering from fever and his sample was collected on Wednesday
A young man died at the coronavirus isolation ward at Chittagong General Hospital on Thursday morning.
The deceased identified as Mofiz Ahmed, 28, was a resident of Chechuria village in Banshkhali upazila.
Dr Ashim Kumar Nath, superintendent of Chittagong General Hospital, told The Business Standard that Mofiz was brought to Chittagong General Hospital as he had been suffering from fever and his sample was collected on Wednesday. Mofiz had also been suffering from kidney complication for long.
"We do not have his test result yet", Dr Ashim said.
So far, 32 patients have been identified coronavirus positive. Among them, four children died.
The patients have been receiving treatment at Chittagong General Hospital and Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Disease.
