Two vaccines for coronavirus, Serum Institute's Covishield and Bharat Biotech's Covaxin, received emergency approval from India's drug regulator today, according to Bew Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV).

Both of the firms submitted their trial run data, according to The Drug Controller General of India VG Somani.

''Both have been granted permission for restricted use,'' he added.
