World leaders around the globe have partaken in receiving the Covid-19 vaccine as an act to reassure their people that all the stigma around the vaccines are merely rumours. From US president Joe Biden to Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu many took the vaccine shots in front of the media to dispel any speculations. So far only a handful of world leaders have taken the vaccine as many await.
US President Joe Biden
US President-elect Joseph R Biden on December 21 received the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine on live television and he received the second dosage on January 11.
US Vice Presiden Kamala Harris
A week after US President Joe Biden was vaccinated against Covid-19, Vice President Kamala Harris was also injected in front of the media with her first dose of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine.
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip
According to Buckingham Palace, on January 9, Queen Elizabeth II, 94, and her husband, Prince Philip, 99, received their Covid-19 vaccinations.
To dispel more confusion or inaccuracies on whether they got it, the queen decided to go public with news of their vaccinations. Vaccines were given by a household doctor at Windsor Castle.
Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on January 10 became the first Israeli to have been vaccinated against Covid-19. He received the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
Saudi Arabia's King Salman
King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud got the first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine on January 8.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia received his first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine On December 25.

Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on 3 November 2020, reported through his Twitter account that he had received a Covid-19 vaccine shot.

On January 8, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong had his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
