Bangladesh cuts air links with 10 countries to curb corona spread
Flights from Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey, Malaysia, Oman, Singapore and India will remain restricted from 12am tonight to March 31
Bangladesh has cut air connectivity with 10 countries to curb the spread of novel coronavirus in the country.
The countries are- Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey, Malaysia, Oman, Singapore and India.
Confirming the matter, Biman Bangladesh Airlines Managing Director Mokabbir Hossain said, "Flights from these countries will remain restricted from 12am tonight to March 31.
Biman now operating flights on only two routes out of 18.
In Bangladesh, So far, one person died and 20 others have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, which believed to be started spreading from China.
The death toll from coronavirus or COVID-19, that believed to be originated from China's Wuhan, reached 11,397 globally as of today. Besides, 274,707 cases were reported from around the world.
