Flight operations resume at Barishal Airport
The first flight from Dhaka landed at the airport with 10 passengers and this flight left for Dhaka with 20 passengers
Flight operations at the Barishal Airport resumed with Dhaka-Barishal-Dhaka flights on Sunday, after more than three months of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The first flight from Dhaka to Barishal landed at the airport today at 3:45 pm while the second one landed at 4:55 pm, ensuring health guidelines.
On the other hand, the first flight left the airport for Dhaka at 4:15 pm and the second one left for Dhaka at 5:25 pm.
Rathindra Nath Chowdhury, manager of Barishal Airport, said the first flight of NovoAir from Dhaka landed at the airport with 10 passengers and this flight left for Dhaka with 20 passengers.
"As there is a huge demand, we hope the flights will come and go back with full passengers soon," he said.
"As flight operations have resumed at the airport, we can now fly as before," said Azad Mohammad, a businessman who regularly flies on the route.
