Islami Bank launches 13 new sub-branches
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited on 16 November inaugurated 13 new sub-branches virtually.
The branches are located in Dhamrai Bazar, Chiriakhana Road, Faidabad, Urdu Road, Rayerbag and Meradia of Dhaka, Baluchora of Chattogram, Mirer Bazar and Shafipur Bazar of Gazipur, Nathullabad and Banglabazar of Barishal, Moilapota Moor of Khulna and Jajira of Shariatpur, says a press release.
Md Mahbub ul Alam, managing director-cum-chief executive officer of the bank, was present in the program as chief guest while Additional Managing Directors of the bank Mohammed Monirul Moula, Muhammad Qaisar Ali and Md Omar Faruk Khan addressed the program as special guest.
Md Mosharraf Hossain, deputy managing director, presided over the program while Md Mahboob Alam, senior executive vice president of the bank, addressed the welcome speech.
High officials of the bank, head of concerned zones and branches, executives, officials, clients, among others, were also present in the virtual program.
Md Mahbub ul Alam said, "Islami Bank has been able to achieve excellence in all indicators of business due to the people's trust and love toward professionalism and sense of responsibility of the bank's employees. The bank contributes significantly to national foreign exchange reserve by collecting one-third expatriates' remittance of the country.
He further said the bank is currently serving clients through 366 branches, 144 sub-branches, 1773 agent banking outlets, 1175 own and about 11,000 shared ATM and CRM booths.
