Money transfer from Padma Bank to bKash simplified
No charge is imposed on customers for this service
From now on, customers of Padma Bank Limited will be able to transfer funds from their internet banking platform Padma i-Banking accounts to any bKash account.
Recently an agreement was signed between Padma Bank and bKash in this regard, according to a press release.
"To transfer funds, any Padma Bank account holder needs to log in to his or her account through Padma i-Banking and add a beneficiary first. After adding a bKash account as a beneficiary, by filling out the necessary information, the customer can transfer money instantly. Once added, customers can make future transactions easily," it added.
"For transferring funds, a customer needs to click on 'Send Money,' tap on the bKash logo, select 'Transfer to bKash,' and then select the bank account from which customers will send the money and choose a beneficiary. Then, after entering the required amount and narration, a customer needs to select 'OTP channel (SMS or Email)' and click to continue," it read.
In the last step, the customer needs to input the OTP number to complete the transaction. However, the customer can find the logo of Padma Bank Limited in the "Add Money section" of the bKash app also, it added.
Tapping on the logo will redirect the customer towards Padma i-Banking. For transferring funds from Padma i-Banking to bKash, the transaction limit provided by Bangladesh Bank will be followed.
There is no charge imposed on the customer for this service.
With this latest bank integration, a total of 21 banks in the country are now connected to the largest "Add Money" network of bKash.
The facility of instant money transfer service from a banks' app, or internet banking, to a bKash account has enabled 48 million bKash users to enjoy convenient transactions 24/7 across the country.
Since its launch in 2019, Padma Bank Limited has been working to provide 100% digital services. The fourth-generation bank aims to deliver modern banking services to around 1.7 lakh customers.
