Chinese company YiXin Bangladesh to invest $ 7.45 million in BEPZA EZ
Chinese company YiXin Bangladesh Co. Ltd. is going to establish a Shoe Accessories manufacturing industry in the BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ).
They will invest US$ 7.45 million to produce annually 10 million pairs of footwear materials. The company will create employment opportunities for 1509 Bangladeshi nationals.
In the presence of BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, BSP, ndc, psc, an agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and YiXin Bangladesh Co. Ltd. at the BEPZA Complex, Dhaka on 9 September 2024. Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md. Ashraful Kabir and Managing Director of YiXin Bangladesh Jian, Zaiyi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
BEPZA Executive Chairman thanked YiXin Bangladesh Co. for investing in Bangladesh, especially in the BEPZA EZ. He urged the investors to commence construction of the factory as soon as possible.
Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Finance) A N M Foyzul Haque, Executive Director (Admin) A.S.M. Zamshed Khondaker, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain, Project Director of BEPZA EZ Mohammad Anamul Haque, and Executive Director (Public Relations) A.S.M Anwar Parvez, along with representatives of the enterprise, were present during the signing ceremony.
It is noteworthy that a total of 32 companies, including YiXin Bangladesh, signed agreements to invest in the BEPZA EZ with a total proposed investment of $718.46 million.
