Offering help over cyclonic storm Amphan, Bangladesh police said, they are prepared to give people protection to reduce the losses of lives and assets.
Through a press release, issued on Tuesday, the law enforcement agency sought cooperation from people suggesting them some instructions to follow.
People, who live in the areas that are likely to be hit by the cyclonic storm according to the meteorological office, should move to shelter centres as soon as possible. They should take necessary products with them while moving to shelter centres, said police in the statement suggesting them to take dry food, drinking water, and electronic tools like light, battery with them.
Domestic animals should be kept in safe and high rise places and electric appliance like gas stoves should be switched off during the disaster.
Other necessary items should be preserved covering with polythene as there is a possibility of a tidal wave due to the storm.
People must take health safety equipment like masks, gloves, hand sanitisers to the shelter centres to remain safe from coronavirus infection.
Police asked people to contact them if any help is needed while dealing with the aforementioned issues and anything relating to the cyclonic storm Amphan.
