The Business Standard brings you an easy tea time snack recipe to make at home for kids
½ packet noodles (boiled without the masala)
1 medium sized onion (finely chopped)
1 cup green peas
1 cup sweet corn
Red chilli powder (to taste)
Chaat masala (to taste)
Garam masala (to taste)
2 tablespoons gram flour
1 cup bread crumbs
Salt (to taste)
Oil for frying
First, boil green peas and sweet corn for 15 minutes until they are soft to the touch. Once done, strain the vegetables and put them in a blender and blend them until a dough-like mixture forms. Do not make the paste thin.
In a different pan, heat up water to boil the noodles.
Combine finely chopped onions, all the spices, salt, gram flour with the peas and corn and mix properly. Add the boiled noodles to the mixture and mix gently, making sure that the noodles do not form into a paste.
After combining, form cutlets from the mixture roll them in the bread crumbs. Heat up oil in a non-stick pan and fry the cutlets, until they turn golden brown and properly fried.
