India wants to help Dhaka turn into smart city
India offers help in the modernisation of traffic management, replacement of CFL bulbs with LEDs and implementation of technology-based solutions to increase DSCC’s revenue collection
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Vikram Kumar Doraiswami has offered to help transform Dhaka into a smart city.
He made the proposal on Tuesday during a courtesy call on Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, reads a press release.
As Taposh asked for a written proposal, the Indian High Commissioner said this would be sent as soon as possible.
The DSCC Mayor also said the waste management proposal under the Indian Line of Credit had already been sent to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives.
