George Harrison’s Foundation donates half a million to coronavirus relief
One dollar will be donated to pandemic relief for every people who posts a clip with the hashtag #innerlight2020
"The Beatles" co-founder George Harrison's Material World Foundation has donated $500,000 to coronavirus relief.
The foundation, started by the late Beatle, donated the money to MusiCare's Coronavirus foundation, Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders.
The foundation also launched "The Inner Light Challenge," in which users share a line, verse or chorus from The Beatles' song.
One dollar will be donated to pandemic relief for every people who posts a clip with the hashtag #innerlight2020, with a maximum of $100,000.
Dhani, George Harrison's son, also posted a cover of "The Inner Light."
George Harrison died of lung cancer in 2001. He was one of the key organisers of "Concert for Bangladesh."
